Sean Van Horn is a Kansas City based coach with over 17 years of experience helping everyday people build stronger bodies, healthier habits, and sustainable lifestyles. His journey into fitness started early lifting weights at 14 to get stronger for football and quickly became a lifelong pursuit of growth, discipline, and service.

Over the years, Sean has coached hundreds of clients from all walks of life: busy parents, professionals, former athletes, beginners, and seasoned lifters alike. He’s led 12–16 week transformation programs, owned and operated a transformation studio, competed in bodybuilding, and successfully transitioned his coaching online to reach clients worldwide.

What sets Sean apart is his ability to simplify fitness without watering it down. He believes real results don’t come from extremes, restriction, or burnout but from smart training, flexible nutrition, and consistency that fits real life.

Today, through FitNut, Sean helps people build strength, lose fat, and regain confidence without sacrificing family time, favorite foods, or their sanity. His mission is simple: make fitness doable, sustainable, and life-giving so clients don’t just change their bodies, they change how they live.

Before client meets me

Sean’s coaching approach is shaped by both experience and empathy. Having grown up overweight and struggling with food habits, he understands firsthand how emotional eating, inconsistency, and overwhelm can derail progress. Fitness wasn’t just a physical outlet for him but it became a path toward confidence, discipline, and purpose.

Since becoming a certified trainer in 2008, Sean has spent nearly two decades helping clients cut through confusion and focus on what actually works. He specializes in strength training, fat loss, and sustainable nutrition strategies designed for real life and not perfection.

As a husband and father of three, Sean deeply understands the challenges busy parents face. His coaching emphasizes efficient workouts, flexible eating, and systems that support long-term success even with kids, careers, and chaos in the mix.
Sean’s goal as your coach isn’t just to help you hit a number on the scale. It’s to help you build strength, energy, confidence, and habits you can maintain for life without guilt, extremes, or burnout.
